Since 2000, Absolut Cars Consulting is the official French reseller of Aspark, a Japanese company founded in 2005. It provides mainly the engineering services for automotive and electronic industries. The firm launched a concept car at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017 for eventually introducing the production version in Dubai in 2019. The Aspark OWL SP600 embodies the pinnacle of automotive electrical engineering. A true next-generation electric hypercar. On June 8, 2024, during a test at the Automotive Testing Papenburg test track in Germany, the OWL SP600 reached a speed of 438.7 km/h (272.6 mph). This world record officially makes it the fastest electric hypercar in the world.
The SP600 represents an evolution specifically geared towards top speed. Its design incorporates a ‘longtail’ body to improve air penetration, wheel deflectors, side panels, and the removal of the movable rear wing to optimize high-speed stability. It is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 1.72 s. It is powered by four electric motors (one per wheel), delivering a phenomenal power output of approximately 1,984 hp. A bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race tire was developed for this car to withstand extreme speeds while ensuring optimal road holding.
